Everybody Knows

For four decades, Leonard Cohen has been one of the most important and influential songwriters of our time, a figure whose body of work achieves greater depths of mystery and meaning as time goes on. They say that watching Leonard Cohen performing is a unique experience that you shouldn’t miss if you consider yourself a music lover. Well, watching this video, from his performance in London in 2008, I can only agree with that.

The song “Everybody Knows” was released in February 1988 and was included in album “I’m your man”. It has been described  by critics as a “bleak prophecy about the end of the world as we know it.” The lyrics include references to AIDS, social problems,and relationship issues.
